Greenfield Area Soccer Club will adopt the updated age group formation cycle announced by U.S. Soccer and the National Associations — US Youth Soccer (USYS), American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), and US Club Soccer.

Beginning with the 2026–2027 seasonal year, age groups will be formed using an August 1 – July 31 birthdate range.

What Is Changing?

• Starting in 2026–2027, players will be grouped by birthdates from August 1 through July 31.
• This aligns Greenfield Area Soccer Club with the national standard adopted by all three major U.S. Soccer youth organizations.

What Is Not Changing?

• There are no age group changes for the 2025–2026 seasonal year.
• The upcoming seasonal year will continue to use the current age group structure.

Why Are We Making This Change?

Greenfield Area Soccer Club participates in leagues governed by the Indiana Soccer League (ISL), which operates under US Youth Soccer (USYS).

This alignment allows our players to compete in the appropriate age groups without disruption and ensures our club remains fully integrated within the Indiana Soccer and U.S. Soccer framework.

When Will This Take Effect?

• 2025–2026 Seasonal Year: No change
• 2026–2027 Seasonal Year: New August 1 – July 31 age group formation begins
