I. Policy for Team
Organization: |
|
*Try outs will be held for fall
and the following spring seasons the week after
State Cup. This is usually the first week of
June. The Director of Coaching, coaches and The
Travel Committee will create rosters after
tryouts. Special tryouts for high school age
teams and extra players may be held after the
regular fall season (generally, the first week
of November). |
|
*Tentative Team rosters with our
offer to play, will be posted on our website,
www.greenfieldsoccer.org, no more than seven
days after the last day of try outs. |
|
*Parents/players will have one
week to respond to the aforementioned offer to
join the team. |
|
*The Greenfield Strikers FC will
strive to develop and maintain age pure teams
for all members. |
|
If there are insufficient
numbers, age groups may be merged to create one
team. |
|
*Players may petition to play-up
only at time of try-outs. Individual players
may be moved up only if the age pure designated
team has sufficient numbers. The Director of
Coaching will select any final candidates from
those petitioning and/or any player he/she deems
appropriate. These candidates to play-up will
then be presented to the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors must approve any move by
a majority vote. |
|
*Recruiting. Recruiting from
outside our club is prohibited by all coaches,
players, parents and affiliates of our club
except at time of tryouts through and the
open transfer period of October 31-December 15. |
|
|
|
II. Coaches, Managers and
Player Expections: |
|
*Paid coaches. Twice
weekly training sessions will be run under the
supervision of paid coaches. Coaches will strive
to attend and coach all games but may have to
split time between two teams. Paid coaches will
notify managers and parent coaches in advance of
any necessary absences. Paid coaches will be
required to have three parent meetings, one at
the start of the season, one mid-season and one
at the end. |
|
*Parent Coaches. Each
team will have a volunteer coach who will fill
in as necessary to cover practices and games.
This person is typically the parent of a player
on that team. |
|
*Team Managers. Each
team will have a volunteer manager. This person
will be the communications and administrative
coordinator. They are the parent contact for
questions and concerns and are responsible for
team and league paperwork, and organizing game
day information. |
|
*Players. Players are
expected to attend all practices and games. If
it is necessary to miss any session advanced
notice in expected.
Playing time will be determined
by the paid coach
and is not guaranteed. |
|
III. League Information |
|
*The Greenfield Strikers FC is
registered with and complies with the rules and
regulations set forth by the Indiana Youth
Soccer Association. (IYSA) Our girls are
members of the Greater Indiana Regional League
of Soccer (GIRLS) league and the boys are part

|
IV. Fees |
|
Total fees are
$285 for fall 2006 and are subject to change for
spring 2007. High school fees will be
determined just prior to tryouts for spring
teams. |
|
*A deposit of
$85 will be due at club meeting. |
|
*The remaining
balance is then divided into 2 equal payments
with due dates as on vouchers. There is a
$25 late fee per installment for any payment
that is not paid by the date on the voucher. |
|
*If necessary,
payment plans may be set up with the approval of
the Travel Committee. |
|
|
|
V. Scholarships |
|
*Scholarships
are available to families in need. It is the
goal of the Greenfield Strikers FC to never lose
a player due to the financial situation of the
family. Those interested in more information
should contact the Scholarship Committee. |
|

|
VI.
Uniforms |
|
a. Practice

practice T-shirts for training/practice
sessions. These will be purchased through our
club and will run $8-10/shirt depending upon how
many we order at one time. |
|
b. Game
Uniforms Uniform orders will be handled
through Morris Inc. It will be the parents’
responsibility to order. |
|
Please note: it
is normal and expected for a club to cycle to
new uniforms every few
years. |
|
|
|
VI. Volunteering |
|
*The Greenfield
Strikers FC is a completely volunteer
organization with the exception of our paid
coaches. All families are encouraged to find
ways to become involved with the club (i.e. team
manager, parent coach, volunteer to help out at
sign-ups, try-outs, etc.) |
|
*Each family
will be expected to donate time to work in the
concession stand. |
|
Each team will
be responsible to cover one week or more per
season. |
|
|
|
VII. Tournaments |
|
* Beyond the
regular season games, travel soccer includes
tournament play. Club fees include one
tournament. Additional tournament fees are the
responsibility of the individual teams. |
|
|
|
VIII. Code of Conduct |
|
*Each player,
parent and coach must read, sign and return the
Code of Conduct to team managers
prior to first practice. |
|
*All players,
parents and coaches will be expected to conduct
themselves by that code at all times when
involved with the Greenfield Strikers FC. |
|
* In addition to
this, we are asking that all families and
friends of the Strikers to refrain from smoking
at games and practices. We would also greatly
appreciate
it if you would keep your pets at home. |
